In our first year of the program, we focused on building community and investigating mathematics together in order to develop a shared visit for racial justice in elementary math.
Community Math Walk
Near the end of our first year, the group did community math walks together. Listen to the mothers reflect on the mathematics of a community mural.
Based on this experience, Dr. Harper created a model to help teachers learn from mothers’ math walk experience.
